Season 3

Season 3, consisting of 22 episodes, was premiered on 1^st October 2007. In the first episode, Chris fails in an assessment exam and is sent to Mr. Abbot the guidance counselor. At home, Julius makes various excuses for not buying new school uniforms for the kids. At school, Joey stops acting as the school bully when he is beaten up by a fellow student. Chris drives his family car to school without a license to impress Tasha. Chris gets a new dog Blackie, after their TV is stolen. There is uproar in the neighborhood, as word spreads about Chris having Mr. Omar’s apartment for himself as his family is down with flu. Chris joins the writing staff of the school newspaper, and makes up a story about a serial killer, which causes alarm in the neighborhood. Chris is upset about Rochelle paying extra attention to Greg when he comes to stay at their home, Doc refuses to give Chris a raise, and starts working for a Chinese restaurant. Greg becomes worried that Chris will overlook him, when another black kid, Albert joins the school. For a school assignment Chris helps Kill Moves in finding his alienated mother. On a trip down south, Chris and Julius loose all their money in a gambling plan and are afraid to tell Rochelle about it.

Chris changes his image from a nice guy to a bad guy, because Tasha likes bad guys. He gets himself invited to a party where he can kiss Tasha. Chris is exited about taking Tasha to the Easter Pageant even though he has a prior commitment. He agrees to go with Drew to find his Hockey idol Wayne Gretzky. Tonya is upset as her dad is not able to fund her school trip to Philadelphia. To go to a Run DMC concert, Chris agrees to attend the Mr. Omar’s BFD fund. Rochelle does not have to take care of the family after she injures her arm. Chris helps Malvo to enroll for school and start his life afresh. For his school project on Earth Day, Chris decided to collecting cans. Due to Tonya’s bad behavior, Rochelle is called to school. Chris is suspended from school for smoking and Tonya blackmails him. Trouble erupts when Chris asks a white girl to be his date for the ninth-grade dance. Rochelle gets expensive perfume from Chris for Mother’s Day but becomes angry thinking that he has stolen it. In the final episode, on graduation day Chris is heartbroken when he learns that Greg will be changing school next year. He tries to get enough money to go to the same school.

Seasons Top Ranked Episode - Everybody Hates Graduation

The season’s highest rated episode was also the highest rated episode till date for the entire series. It was the 22^nd episode of the season and was telecast on 18^th May 2008. In this episode, Chris prevents is excited about graduating to high school. However, he is disheartened when he learns that his best friend Greg will be going to a new school next year. He tries to arrange for the money required to go to the same school. Meanwhile, Tonya’s ballet partner gets hurt and Rochelle wants Drew to be her partner for Swan Lake.
